Eurofiber buys 2,000km of fibre and three data centres

Eurofiber has ended the year with four acquisitions, acquiring Eurafibre, ATE, Eura DC and Datacenter Nedzone. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Eurafibre, ATE and Eura DC provide fiber-optic, cloud solutions, managed services and server hosting services in France. Alex Goldblum, CEO of Eurofiber says: “These companies perfectly match our ambition for growth within Europe, especially because of their focus and their well-deserved reputation for high customer satisfaction.”
The acquired companies operate more than 2,000 kilometres of fiber-optic network, as well as two data centres. Their customers include 150 business parks and 200 locations.
Eurofiber subsidiary Dataplace also announced an acquisition of Netherlands-based Datacenter Nedzone. This is Dataplace’s fourth data center acquisition to date.
Eurofiber itself is a provider of fibreoptic networks and data centres in the Netherlands, Belgium and Northern France to the enterprise, government and non-profit sectors. Since 2000, it has built out over 33,000 kilometers of fiberoptic cable, expanding its network by over 40 kilometers per week on average.
