CALVI and Zenith form alliance to help CSPs transform BSSOSS layer faster

CALVI and Zenith have announced that they are forming an alliance to combine Zenith’s capabilities with CALVI’s bill communication software solution.
Toronto-based Zenith, has considerable expertise in implementing, upgrading and transforming the BSSOSS layer. This includes experience of implementing DigitalRoute’s MediationZone, SAP’s Hybris Billing and Convergent Charging, IBM’s Tivoli and Netcool, HP’s Openview and Service Manager, as well as deep experience of integrating with Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei, Affirmed, XURA and Cisco technologies.
As part of its partnership with CALVI, Zenith will be pre-integrating with CALVI’s APIs to deliver quicker and easier implementations. The two companies say that value will derive from the ability to migrate and decommission legacy systems faster, as well as from new insights that can be gained by using CALVI’s analytics solution on existing data.
The alliance does not come as a surprise. CALVI, which is based in The Netherlands, is currently expanding into North America and Canadian firm Zenith is seeking to increase its foothold in Europe.
Announcing the alliance, Walter Neeft, Managing Director of CALVI Americas commented that part of the attractiveness of the alliance was Zenith’s “impressive” track record of effective solutions in the telecom billing space and how it helped telecoms service providers improve customer experience, reduce operational costs and find new revenue sources. “We share the same belief that the bill can be turned into a powerful tool to create more customer value and get better business insights,” he said. “I know that together we will have a bigger impact on transforming the telecom billing experience.”
Neeraj Kumar, VP Technology at Zenith said that the two companies intended to offer innovative solutions to transform billing into a revenue centre and which enhance the customer experience. “Our joint solution seamlessly adapts to the technology challenges being brought in by IoT and 5G, as well as offering detailed insights that are immensely valuable to internal stakeholders,” he added.
