Tango Telecom

Overview

Founded in 1999, Tango Telecom was a provider of monetisation solutions for mobile networks. Its core offering was the Tango Telecom Data Retail Engine (the Tango DRE), an integrated monetisation platform for domestic, roaming, enterprise and IoT use cases over 4G and 5G networks. The Tango DRE was a modular solution combining charging, policy management, promotions, subscriber engagement and interaction in a single platform.

Before its acquisition, the company had successes such as deals for roaming traffic monetisation in North America and LATAM, as well as upgrade and expansion deals for existing PCC deployments.  It supported over 50 operators, including Telefónica International Wholesale Services (TIWS), América Móvil, Ooredoo Indosat and the Axiata Group. It was headquartered in Limerick, Ireland with offices in Kenya, Malaysia, Indonesia and Mexico.
