Venezuela’s Digitel Corporation has renewed with Optiva, signing a multi-year support agreement and upgrade for its online charging system. Digitel was the first to offer 4G LTE in Venezuela, and intends to support VoLTE, IoT and, in due course, 5G rollout with its upgraded system.
John Giere, CEO of Optiva, noted that Digitel was “at the forefront of harnessing innovation to accelerate the success of its company, country and customers.”
He said Optiva valued the trust Digitel placed in his company and welcomed the opportunity to continue to support its mission-critical operations.
“We’ve chosen to continue our six-year partnership with Optiva and the technology innovation they bring to us in order to strengthen our market position and achieve our strategic business goals for supporting the Venezuelan market with new services and innovative product offerings.”
