Telesur selects Cerillion

Suriname operator will converge its business support systems using support from UK-based BSSOSS vendor Cerillion

Telesur is the only full service telecommunications provider in Suriname supplying consumer, corporate and government customers in Suriname and the Netherlands. It has announced that it will be deploying a convergent BSSOSS platform from Cerillion that includes Cerillion’s enterprise product catalogue, convergent charging system, CRM Plus, revenue manager, service manager, self-service and business insights modules. The deal will span 10 years and includes the migration from Telesur’s legacy prepaid and postpaid systems.

Mike Antonius, CEO Telesur

Mike Antonius, CEO at Telesur says that Cerillion was selected after an in-depth tender process. “We’ve known Cerillion for a number of years and the strength of their track record with other similar multi-play operators gives us the certainty of outcome we need for this mission-critical project,” he said.

Telesur says that once the Cerillion suite is delivered it will be able to provide a unified experience for all network types (fixed, mobile), all service types (voice, data, content) and all payment types (prepaid, postpaid). By unifying all its business lines within a single product catalogue, charging engine and CRM it anticipates significant operational efficiencies, a much better service level for customers and and the ability to more easily roll out new offers.

Cerillion CEO Louis Hall

Cerillion CEO Louis Hall said that his company have wanted to work with Telesur for a long time as he believes the two organisations are an excellent fit for one another. “The length of the engagement upon which we now embark is a reflection of our commitment to them and their belief in the level of service we can offer as a supplier and indeed as a partner,” he added.
