Embratel chooses Netcracker

Embratel to use a range of technology from Netcracker for its B2B transformation

Brazil’s Embratel (part of the América Móvil group) has selected a range of technology from Netcracker to support its B2B transformation, including Netcracker’s CPQ, product catalog and digital BSS products.

Fabio Gatto, GM Netcracker

Embratel aims to transform the experience it offers to its enterprise customers, with a high-quality sales experience, as well as faster time-to-market for new B2B services. Netcracker says its solution will boost Embratel’s business and operational agility, simplifying and optimising its B2B processes and delivering end-to-end visibility and control. As part of the deal Netcracker will also provide Embratel with consulting and professional services. Fabio Gatto, GM Netcracker says that he’s happy to be extending his company’s long-term relationship with América Móvil into the Brazilian market. This B2B sector deal, he said, “will help Embratel to capture opportunities and bring innovative and exciting services to its enterprise customers.”

José Formoso, CEO of Embratel

José Formoso, CEO of Embratel emphasised how important it was for B2B service providers to be agile and to offer a good customer experience, describing these as “absolutely critical for success.” He explained that his company’s relationship with Netcracker gave it a partner with solutions that would help achieve Embratel’s goals today, as well as positioning his company to stay “at the top of our game.”

Omnisperience’s View

Omnisperience agrees with José Formoso’s view that B2B telecoms is a far more competitive market than it was historically and that today’s businesses increasingly expect a more consumer-like experience that makes it easier for them to buy and manage telecoms services. We believe that one reason for Netcracker’s current success is its deep knowledge of the B2B market combined with its ability to leverage experience and knowledge between B2C and B2B domains. This is particularly relevant currently given the trend to consumerise the B2B experience.
